This class is taught in English. The tutor can answer questions in German and Spanish.

A knitting lace workshop can cover a wide range of topics, techniques, and tips for creating beautiful lace designs. Here's an overview of the information taught in this workshop:

Basics of Lace Knitting
1. Introduction to Lace Knitting:
Explanation of what lace knitting is.
How lace differs from other knitting styles (e.g., cables, colorwork).
2. Yarn and Needles:
Choosing appropriate yarn weights and fibers for lace.
Selecting needle sizes for different lace effects.
3. Reading Lace Patterns:
Understanding lace charts and written instructions.
Common lace knitting abbreviations.

Lace Stitch Patterns
1. Basic Lace Stitches:
Yarn overs (YO)
Decreases (k2tog, ssk, etc.)
Slipped stitches
Double yarn overs and their uses.
2. Common Lace Patterns:
Leaf motifs. Floral patterns. Geometric designs. Feather and fan stitch.

Techniques
1. Blocking:
Importance of blocking lace for best results.
Wet blocking vs. steam blocking.

You need to bring:
A skein of DK yarn (max. 20 gr)
Needles of 4 mm
Stitchmarkers

About the tutor:
Marina Storm is a passionate knitwear designer! Born in Greece, studied in Spain, and now calling Germany home with her husband and two kids.

Knitting is Marinas heart’s work — it’s where creativity meets connection. She designs patterns for garments and accessories that bring joy to her, her loved ones, and knitters worldwide. There’s nothing more fulfilling for Marina than seeing her designs come to life in the hands (and on the needles!) of people across the globe. Marina teaches, designs, and creates with love, sharing the magic of knitting with others
